About Aloto Naga
Aloto Naga is an Indian journalist and digital media entrepreneur based in Dimapur, Nagaland, and the founder of the Nagaland Me ecosystem, a network of ten platforms serving Nagaland and Northeast India. He is the founder, editor, and publisher of Nagaland News Today, a digital news publication covering breaking news, politics, education, and community developments across the region.
Aloto is recognized as the first journalist to launch a full-fledged Nagamese-language news channel on YouTube. His channel, Aloto Naga TV, has grown to over 500,000 subscribers and serves as a primary source of Nagamese news, public information, and visual storytelling for audiences across the region.
Background in Digital Media
Aloto began his digital journey in 2017, building YouTube channels and regional content platforms at a time when very little digital news infrastructure existed for Nagaland. Working across these early platforms, he earned a reputation for breaking local stories that mainstream outlets often overlooked, and his reporting has consistently prioritized ethical sourcing, local accuracy, and original coverage of the issues affecting Nagaland’s communities, without sensationalism.
That experience shaped the editorial approach he carries today: independent, fact-based, and rooted in community accountability.
Work at Nagaland News Today
As editor of Nagaland News Today, Aloto leads editorial decisions, reporting, and the publication’s digital strategy. His coverage spans government affairs, tribal issues, education policy, court verdicts, public safety, and district-level developments across all 16 districts of Nagaland.
Nagaland News Today operates under a published editorial policy with clear standards on sourcing, corrections, and editorial independence. Opinion content and press releases are labeled separately from news reporting.
