A Tripura blogger missing for over a week after travelling to Nagaland has plunged his family into deep anxiety. Relatives allege inadequate response from authorities despite formal complaints.

The missing youth has been identified as Pranab Das, a 23-year-old resident of Malaynagar Nepali Para under Srinagar police station in Tripura. According to family members, Das frequently travelled to different parts of the country. He recorded video footage, which he later published on his personal blog.

Last Contact With Family

Relatives said Das left for Nagaland earlier this month for content collection. After reaching the state, he reportedly spoke to his parents over the phone, assuring them of his safety. However, since January 3, his mobile phone has remained switched off, and all attempts to contact him have failed. Also Read Why Nagaland Citizens Fear Reporting Crime

Das’ father claimed that despite repeated visits to the police station, the family received little cooperation. He said the prolonged silence and lack of updates have added to their distress.

Police Say Search Measures Initiated

Responding to the allegations, a police official stated that necessary measures have been initiated to locate the missing blogger. Details of the ongoing efforts were not disclosed.

Appeal to Political Leadership

With anxiety mounting, Das’ parents have now appealed to the Chief Minister of Tripura and the local MLA. They are seeking urgent intervention. They said their sole demand is that the administration take active and coordinated steps to locate their son. They seek clarity on the situation.

The family hopes that intensified efforts by authorities will lead to the safe recovery of the missing youth and put an end to their ongoing ordeal.
