Zunheboto: June 30 2025 – The Sümi Hoho expresses its sincere appreciation and strong commendation to the Zunheboto Police for their unwavering dedication in combating the menace of drugs and illegal substances in the district. The successful operation conducted on 29th June 2025, which resulted in the seizure of psychotropic drugs, illicit liquor, unlicensed firearms, and cash, marks a critical step toward safeguarding the lives and future of the community—particularly its youth.

The Hoho especially acknowledges the exemplary leadership of Dr. Kupe Kapfo, Superintendent of Police, Zunheboto, whose tireless commitment to public safety and welfare continues to produce effective and impactful results. The Sümi Hoho also records its gratitude to SDPO HQ Shri Wanom Wallim, Officer-in-Charge Shri Anito Y. Sema, and the entire police team, including the Special Operations Team (SOT), for their vigilance, coordination, and bravery.

Further, the swift follow-up actions that led to multiple arrests of individuals allegedly involved in drug trafficking and illegal arms possession highlight the competence and resolve of the law enforcement agencies. These developments serve as a strong testament to their professionalism and commitment to justice.
