đź”´ Update | August 1, 2025:
Russia hoax whistleblower reveals shocking internal threats and cover-ups surrounding the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment. DNI Tulsi Gabbard confirms suppressed warnings were ignored at the highest levels.

A senior intelligence official has come forward with a detailed, firsthand account alleging deep-rooted manipulation and political coercion in the creation of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. elections. According to newly released documents, this whistleblower says they were pressured by a direct supervisor to support findings they believed were not backed by credible intelligence a directive they ultimately refused.

The revelations were made public by Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard, who praised the whistleblower’s courage and transparency. “The Whistleblower put their own well-being on the line to defend our democratic republic and help the American people learn the truth about how intelligence was manipulated to support false narratives,” Gabbard said in a public statement.

Key Claims from the Whistleblower’s Testimony

The documents, described as a “full accounting” of events leading to the 2017 ICA, reveal:

  • The whistleblower’s supervisor attempted to coerce endorsement of the report’s key findings, even though the whistleblower strongly objected to the use of unverified intelligence.
  • They were told that promotion could depend on compliance with the report’s conclusions.
  • The whistleblower refused to support the ICA’s central claim that Russia preferred Donald Trump in 2016, citing insufficient corroboration.
  • Concerns were raised about the overreliance on open-source material and politically motivated analysis rather than solid classified intelligence.
  • Multiple attempts were made to report the wrongdoing internally, including to agencies such as the IC Inspector General, the Special Counsel, and other whistleblower channels — but were reportedly ignored.

Tulsi Gabbard Responds

In a statement shared via her official channel, DNI Gabbard reaffirmed her office’s commitment to transparency and accountability:

“Yesterday we released the Whistleblower’s firsthand account of what happened in the crafting of the January 2017 ICA, their yearslong efforts to expose the egregious manipulation and manufacturing of intelligence… and how they were repeatedly ignored.”She added,

“Thank you to this courageous whistleblower, and others who are coming forward now, putting their own well-being on the line to ensure the American people know the truth.”

Allegations Point Toward High-Level Suppression

The whistleblower alleges that even though senior Obama-era officials, including former DNI James Clapper, publicly dismissed the discredited Steele Dossier, they still ensured that similar conclusions were reflected in the final January 2017 ICA.

Furthermore, the whistleblower claims the manipulated intelligence was used to fuel years of political and legal investigations against then-candidate and later President Donald Trump — a situation some now call a “soft coup attempt”.

Despite alerting more than a dozen oversight bodies, the whistleblower says their efforts were buried under bureaucratic resistance, internal retaliation, and selective classification practices that concealed inconvenient truths from the public.

A Step Toward Truth and Reform

DNI Gabbard emphasized that moving forward, her office would safeguard whistleblowers and ensure proper channels remain open. She called on all intelligence officials regardless of political alignment  to speak up when wrongdoing is observed.
