The Government of Nagaland has released the 2nd and final phase of the Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students for the academic year 2024–2025, officially completing this year’s disbursement cycle.
According to the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland, a total of 15,501 Naga students have successfully received their scholarship amount, while another 3,252 students are yet to get theirs due to pending KYC verification with their banks.
Minister Temjen Imna Along Confirms Final Payment
Nagaland’s Higher Education Minister, Temjen Imna Along, confirmed that the payment process for verified beneficiaries has been successfully completed.

The minister also clarified that this amount is not personally funded but comes from the Centrally Sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme (90:10), jointly supported by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, and the State Government of Nagaland.
₹2,566.57 Lakh Released in 2nd Phase
As per the Directorate’s official release, the second phase included 19,381 beneficiaries with a total disbursement of ₹2,566.57 lakh.

Students Advised to Verify KYC and Aadhaar Link
The Directorate urged students who have not yet received their payment to:
- Verify that their bank account is active, and
- Ensure that their Aadhaar details are correctly linked to their bank accounts.
The official list of students whose payments are pending due to KYC or Aadhaar mismatch has been uploaded on the Directorate’s website at highereducation.nagaland.gov.in.
