Government employees under the Department of Home Guards, Civil Defence & State Disaster Response Force in Nagaland have pledged full support for the movement demanding the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). The announcement came during a sensitisation program conducted by the Nagaland National Pension System Government Service Employees Forum (NNPSGSEF) on July 18, 2025, at the Directorate Office in Kohima.

NNPSGSEF Central Team Leads Awareness Drive

The sensitisation program was spearheaded by the central team of NNPSGSEF, including:

  • Avizo Nienu – State President
  • Jentinochhet Amri – Vice President
  • Adabe Namgi – Finance Secretary
  • Theyiesinuno Solo – Assistant Finance Secretary
  • Sungjemnochet Ndr – Kohima Unit President
  • Shisamanen Phom – Media & Information Coordinator, Kohima Unit

The program aimed to educate employees on the drawbacks of the National Pension Scheme (NPS) and the long-term financial insecurity it brings, especially in comparison to the more beneficial Old Pension Scheme.
