JALUKIE, NAGALAND June 30 2025 – The Hindu Community of Jalukie Town has come forward to donate two beds and Dunlop mattresses to the official residence of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), underscoring a shared commitment to local development and the upkeep of a key public asset.
Initiative and Request
On 19 June 2025, ADC Albert Ezung (NCS) addressed a formal letter to the President of the Hindu Community, Milan Mandir Jalukie Town, noting that the ADC residence “lacks basic amenities and is not befitting to host and welcome visiting high-ranking officials and guests.” He appealed for community intervention to mobilize resources locally and enrich this strategically important government residence.
Community Statement
In a clarifying statement dated 30 June 2025, President Govind Mishra affirmed that the contribution was “entirely voluntary and goodwill,” following “proper consultation and mutual understanding” with community representatives. He emphasized that the gesture was intended “to support and uplift the infrastructure of the ADC’s official residence” and to promote a spirit of responsibility and ownership.
Civic Collaboration
Jalukie’s ADC residence, a public asset symbolizing governance for the sub-division, was described by leaders as deserving of basic furnishings to host dignitaries appropriately. By providing two beds and branded Dunlop mattresses, the Hindu Community aims to set a precedent for constructive public-private partnerships and reinforce Jalukie’s growth trajectory.
