Govt Promotes Nagaland SDO to Executive Engineer

🔔In Short | 18 July 2025: Er. Nagashe Swu has been promoted to Executive Engineer in NPWD Nagaland.

The Government of Nagaland has officially promoted Er. Nagashe Swu, SDO (Sub-Divisional Officer), to the post of Executive Engineer under the Nagaland Public Works Department (NPWD). The promotion falls under Pay Matrix Level-15 (₹67,300–₹1,89,300 per month), along with all standard allowances applicable under state regulations.

The promotion comes in place of Er. Imkongakum, who has retired from service. This move has been duly cleared by the P&AR (Personnel and Administrative Reforms) Department, with official approval conveyed via U.O. No. 590 dated 09.07.2025.

According to the notification issued by the Establishment Branch of the Works & Housing Department, Kohima, Er. Swu’s officiating promotion is subject to regularization by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC). Until then, the officer will continue to serve at his current posting.

The notification, bearing reference number NO.WH/EST/ENGG/3/2022, was signed by Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, and further endorsed by Temjen Jamir, Under Secretary.

This development reflects the department’s ongoing administrative restructuring following recent retirements and internal assessments.
