🔴 Update | 20 July 2025: The Ayurvedic Doctor’s Association Nagaland (ADAN) has condemned a defamatory video by a YouTuber Md. Babul Ali, The Therapist Jay and demanded a formal apology and its removal.

In a strongly worded public condemnation, the Ayurvedic Doctor’s Association Nagaland (ADAN) has demanded a formal written apology from Md. Babul Ali, a YouTuber operating under the name “Therapist Jay”, for allegedly making defamatory remarks against one of the association’s bonafide members, Dr. Imlikumba.

The controversial video, uploaded on 15th July 2025, features the YouTuber referring to Dr. Imlikumba as a “Jealousy Doctor.” ADAN has described this label as baseless, defamatory, and misleading, stating it not only damages the image of Dr. Imlikumba but also tarnishes the reputation of the broader medical and Ayurvedic community.

“Such remarks are not only false but are clearly intended to mislead the public and defame a respected member of our profession,” stated ADAN President Dr. Khoniuo Mary and General Secretary Dr. Gwachung Magh in the official condemnation.

The association emphasized that the allegations are entirely fabricated and made with malicious intent, raising concern over how social media platforms are being misused to spread misinformation and harm professional reputations.

ADAN has officially demanded that:

  • Md. Babul Ali issue a formal written apology to both Dr. Imlikumba and the association.
  • The offending video be immediately removed from YouTube.
  • Any further defamatory content or statements from Ali or his associates cease immediately.

Failure to comply with these demands, ADAN warns, will result in legal action being taken against the individuals involved.

This is not the first time professionals in the Northeast have raised concerns over the abuse of digital platforms to attack individuals without proper accountability. ADAN’s public stance aims to set a precedent for upholding the dignity and integrity of medical professionals in the region.

The association closed its statement by reaffirming its commitment to defending the honour of the medical profession and urged the public not to be misled by unverified claims and content circulated online.
